"Cheryl's music is like a dream about the ocean.... how scary it can be and how beautiful and timeless." -Lisa Coleman (Wendy and Lisa, Prince)

"Cheryl's voice is like that of Julee Cruise--possibly the most beautiful ethereal voice ever." - Daniel Lanois (U2, Peter Gabriel, Black Dub, Bob Dylan, Neville Bros.)

The songwriting and singing of Cheryl Bliss have been described by critics as "stimulating, refreshingly different, and completely cool" and feature an eclectic mix of her ethereal, emotive vocals, solid songwriting, and lush, earthy arrangements. Her first studio album (Angels Running After) was self-produced and received numerous nominations and awards including Best Pop Album by the San Diego Music Awards. Cheryl’s second album, The Sweet Soul Light, was co-produced by Cheryl and world-renowned guitarist and recording artist Phil Keaggy, mixed by John Paterno (Robbie Williams, Bonnie Raitt) and mastered by Richard Dodd (Tom Petty, Sheryl Crow). Her contribution to The Unbreakable Chain, a tribute album to legendary producer Daniel Lanois (U2, Bob Dylan, Peter Gabriel, Emmylou Harris, Robbie Robertson) prompted Lanois to invite her to his home and studio and led to a collaboration with producer/engineer Mark Howard (U2, Bob Dylan, Iggy Pop, REM) and bassist Daryl Johnson (Neville Brothers, Sarah McLachlan, EmmyLou Harris, the Meters).

In 2015 and 2016 Cheryl released four new singles, featuring such talents as guitarist Gerry Leonard (David Bowie, Duncan Sheik, Suzanne Vega), bassist Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel, King Crimson), and drummer Ramy Antoun (Seal, Black Eyed Peas) as well as the incredible talent of several Austin-based musicians.

Besides writing and performing music, Cheryl also enjoys acting and participates in live and film productions as the opportunity arises. She can currently be seen in the movie Strings on Amazon Prime.

Cheryl has enjoyed receiving fan messages from around the world and has garnered critical acclaim. Her songs have been downloaded over 1,150,000 times, used in television and film, used in commercial rotation throughout Europe, and added to hundreds of radio station playlists. Cheryl has played in venues throughout the United States and Great Britain with audiences ranging from intimately-sized private shows to crowds of 50,000. She has been invited to share the stage with Chris Whitley, Michelle Shocked, Dee Dee Ramone, David Sancious, and many other great artists and bands.
